False Allegation Campaign Manager Was Holocaust Denier

The Missouri television station KRCG republished an accurate Associated Press report about State Representative Sarah Unsicker having been photographed with a man cited as a Holocaust denier. The station's own social media post said that she had been seen with two such men. The second person, her campaign manager Eric Garland, was not a Holocaust denier.
After the station was contacted about the error the post remained up for several weeks before it was taken down, without correction, apology or explanation.
QC found a breach of the accuracy provisions of the editors' code, both in publishing the misleading claim and in failing to correct it.
